Our conference must ensure that we explain issues relating to ‘money’ in a manner that can be readily understood, not just by those present in this gathering here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, but also by the hapless multitudes around the world who know little or nothing of this subject, and who look to us for guidance; hence an imperative of ensuring both simplicity and clarity, while avoiding the use of technical jargon. I avoid it to such extent that you will not hear even the words ‘fiat money’ in my presentation.

"....semua makhluk ciptaan Tuhan samada manusia, binatang, tumbuhan, alam semulajadi dan sebagainya, saling perlu memerlukan, saling bantu-membantu kerana mereka berkait, terikat antara satu sama lain dalam satu kitaran yang berhubungan. Justeru, jangan diputuskan ikatan itu, kelak, seluruh kitaran akan musnah..." Ahmad Rais Johari

The story of the People of the Cave - By Sheikh Imran Hossein
The story of the People of the Cave is one of the stories narrated in detail by Almighty Allah in the Holy Quran. Many scholars have addressed and explained this story from various perspectives however, up till the present moment, little or nothing has been mentioned about the scientific and engineering implications and applications of this story. Some scholars have scrutinized the story from Financial and Islamic monetary policy viewpoints while some have reviewed and analyzed the story from the vantage point of Islamic eschatology. However, these groups of scholars and scientists have not explored the story using time and spatial domain analysis techniques - a key and major concept in the field of digital signal and image processing.
A microanalysis of this story reveals how the concepts of time reversal, time advancement, time delay, system modeling, error minimization and other intricate computations were beautifully, marvelously and meticulously demonstrated by Almighty Allah. Unfortunately, thorough investigation of this story for the advancement, development and betterment of humans in their society in such fields as science, medicine, security, engineering have not been epistemologically, pedagogically or theologically conducted.
As a consequence, the Department of Finance in conjunction with Department of Mechatronics Engineering/Intelligent Mechatronics Research Unit is organizing an explorative research discussion with the aim of unraveling and understanding some of the inherent mysteries in this story using time and spatial domain analysis techniques.
The schedule of the event is as follows:
